Why we built this. Millions of Isan farmers walk to their paddies every day to check water levels by eye. It's dangerous work—in heat, in storms, alone. Every sensor we deploy is one less reason for that walk. NaLog exists so farmers can make better, safer irrigation decisions from their phone.

One Platform, Three Layers

From field sensors to AI-powered advice, NaLog connects every piece of the irrigation puzzle.

01

LoRaWAN Sensors

Water level, soil moisture, and temperature sensors that work without cellular coverage. 5-10km range, years of battery life. One gateway serves an entire village.

~1,500 THB per sensor
03

AI Agent

An AI agronomist that reads your live sensor data, remembers your farm across seasons, and gives personalized advice in Thai or English. Proposes pump actions—never acts without your approval.

Irrigation Guidance, Not Just Data

NaLog doesn't dump numbers on you. It tells you what's happening and what to do next, in plain language.

Rice (AWD)
Sugarcane

Alternate Wetting & Drying (AWD)

AWD is a proven technique that saves 15-30% water with no yield loss—but timing is everything. NaLog automates the entire cycle and protects critical growth stages automatically.

Flooded Phase

Water maintained at +5cm above surface. Sensors monitor continuously.

Draining Phase

Water drains naturally over ~7 days. Pump stays OFF. NaLog tracks the decline to -15cm.

Reflooding Phase

At -15cm, NaLog proposes pump activation. After your approval, water returns to +5cm.

Critical stage protection: During panicle initiation and flowering, NaLog automatically suspends AWD and maintains continuous flooding to protect yield.

Precision Irrigation for Sugarcane

Sugarcane passes through 8 growth stages from planting to harvest. The critical insight: irrigation must stop during sugar formation to concentrate sweetness. NaLog enforces this automatically.

1-3

Early Growth

Planting, germination, tillering. Regular irrigation maintained.

4-5

Grand Growth

Stalk elongation and internode formation. Peak water demand.

6-7

Sugar Formation

Irrigation stops automatically. Low soil moisture is intentional—this is where sugar concentrates.

8

Harvest Ready

Maturation complete. NaLog signals harvest readiness.

Irrigation stop enforced: NaLog warns before stage transitions and confirms with the farmer. Proper management delivers 1-2% higher sugar content—premium pricing from mills.

An Agronomist With Perfect Memory in Every Farmer's Pocket

The NaLog Agent reads your live sensor data, recalls your farm's history across seasons, and delivers personalized irrigation advice—in Thai or English.

Ask in Natural Language

"Does Paddy 3 need pumping now?" — the agent checks live sensors and gives a grounded answer.

Remembers Across Seasons

"This paddy drains faster after re-levelling" — the agent learns and adjusts recommendations over time.

Human Always in Control

The agent proposes pump actions but never executes without your explicit approval. Your farm, your decision.

Field Photo Analysis

Snap a photo of your crop and the agent analyzes condition, pests, water coverage, and lodging risk.

Does pumps on Paddy 3 need to be running now?

Checking paddy 3 sensor data...

Paddy 3 is currently in the draining phase at -8cm. You still have about 3 days before reaching -15cm and needing to reflood. No pumping needed right now.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about NaLog

No. NaLog works with your existing infrastructure. We add IoT sensors to monitor water levels and can integrate with most irrigation systems for remote pump control via LoRaWAN.

NaLog uses LoRaWAN technology with 5-10km range and minimal data requirements. Our sensors and edge-AI gateway work even in remote areas with no cellular coverage. The gateway runs AI locally—no internet needed for critical decisions.

Sensors cost around 1,500 THB each. A gateway costs around 15,000 THB and covers 50-300 farmers within a 5-10km radius. The SaaS platform runs 6,000 THB per year. The gateway cost is shared across the entire co-op, making it affordable for individual smallholders.

Currently rice (with full AWD automation across 3 phases including critical stage protection) and sugarcane (with 8 growth stages and automated irrigation cutoff during sugar formation). More crops are on the roadmap.

The NaLog Agent is an AI agronomist powered by Qwen on Alibaba Cloud. It reads your live sensor data, remembers your farm's history across seasons (with scientific memory decay and contradiction handling), and gives personalized irrigation advice in Thai or English. It can propose pump actions but never executes without your explicit approval.

Yes. NaLog is MIT licensed. Co-ops, NGOs, and government agencies can deploy it on their own infrastructure. We believe agricultural technology that can save lives and livelihoods should be accessible to everyone.

Yes. NaLog supports multiple user roles: farmers get full control, agronomists get consultant access, admins manage the system, and investors or co-op leaders get read-only monitoring. Everyone sees what they need without interfering with field operations.

You own your data. Export everything as CSV anytime. Since NaLog is open source under the MIT license, you can even self-host the entire platform. Your data is never locked away.
